The singer recently announced a new song entitled 'Single Soon'

Iconic singer Selena Gomez has chronicled her love life in her latest track, admitting it is "high maintenance". The song, titled "Single Soon" will be part of her as-yet-unnamed upcoming album, marking her return to the music scene.

A few days ago Selena Gomez announced her return to music with a song in which she reflects on the complexities of relationships and how she has handled her past breakups. In the tune you can hear "Should I do it over the phone? Should I leave a little note in his coat pocket? Maybe I'll just disappear", revealing her perspective on the end of relationships.

Throughout the song, the 29-year-old artist acknowledges her need for attention and care in a relationship, but is also willing to explore new opportunities.

She expresses the difficulty of ending a relationship and the desire to find a new direction in her love life, in which she has had partners such as Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Zayn Malik.

After devoting time to her beauty brand Rare Beauty and acting projects, Selena is returning to the world of music with a renewed focus on self-love and exploring her romantic experiences.

"Single Soon" promises to be a musical hit with a powerful and personal message, resonating with her fans who are eagerly awaiting her return to music.

The song will be released on August 25, and fans are waiting anxiously to discover how Selena has transformed her experiences into a poignant new tune.

"I've been asked for new music for a while now. Since I'm not done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that's perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th," Selena Gomez wrote on her social media pages.

Selena has shared some images on her social media, previewing the music video for "Single Soon". The images feature a focus on fashion, with Selena sporting a Versace mesh dress and fashion accessories.

In addition, one image reveals a still life of objects, including sunglasses and a post-it that reads "I'm sorry, I can't, don't hate me", suggesting the theme of self-love and self-affirmation that Selena has explored in her previous songs.
